

But keep in mind that NURBS in Maya are simply horrible, especially if you’re used to CAD programs. If AutoCAD and Maya are already in your toolset, you should do fine with. Just a lot more work to get anywhere in that one. Makes more sense to go the other way around, with Maya as the renderer… But if you’re doing technical drawings, AutoCAD has all the features Rhino does anyway. I’m not sure why you’d want to go from Maya TO AutoCAD. But for animation? Not much help in that arena, unless you’re exporting TO Maya.

I’ll agree that Rhino is devastating, and I use it for all my plans, blueprints, and working drawings for my field crews.
